      Supporting Families: a rights-based approach

The Scottish Government is currently consulting on the incorporation of United Nations' Convention on the Rights of the Child into Scots Law, organisations must consider how to incorporate children’s rights into their work. This interactive seminar, hosted by Home-Start UK Scotland and Parenting Across Scotland, looks at the importance of taking a rights-based approach to family support if we are going to ensure that all families across Scotland can access support without judgement or stigma, making Scotland the best place to grow up in. At the seminar we will hear from Karyn McCluskey, CEO, Community Justice Scotland. Judith Robertson, Chair, Scottish Human Rights Commission. Morag Treanor, Professor of Child and Family Inequalities, Heriot-Watt University.  For the full programme please email
